Captain Garreth
Owner and skipper
Garreth has spent his life on the water, born and raised in Cape Town and fishing these waters since childhood. He has been a full-time career fisherman since 2012, with 25 years of hands-on experience across charter, commercial, sportfishing and competitive fishing.
His background spans four distinct sides of the industry — commercial tuna fishing, fishing charters, competitive angling and international sportfishing — bringing broad, hands-on experience across a wide range of fishing environments.
Internationally, he has fished some of the world’s premier sportfishing grounds: Costa Rica, Panama (Pacific and Caribbean), Mexico, the US Virgin Islands, Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, the Bahamas, north-east USA and South Florida.

Every member of the crew is STCW trained and is either entering or has retired from the international yachting and sportfishing industry. They bring exceptional local knowledge of Cape Town’s waters, keeping you safe while giving you the best possible chance at landing your personal best.
While the captain focuses on running the vessel, your mate is always on hand — from taking photographs of you and your group to strapping you in for the fight of your life with an XL yellowfin.
Questions go straight to the skipper
There is no call centre and no booking agent in the middle. An acknowledgement is sent immediately and Garreth answers personally, usually well inside 12 hours.
